Day 2.

Day 2: Words.

Today my word is DREAM.

February Photo Challenge.

Day 1: your view.

My view from my bed…

Zombiefied.

Lately I’ve been lacking in creativity in my shooting it feels… and then I realized that I miss “shooting for fun” like I used to when I was in school. Myself and other students would go on what we call photo-adventures and shoot at random locations, scout for new places, and just take pictures without any real purpose other than to be creative. This past Saturday, that is what I did! I have been wanting to test out my makeup skills with this halloween makeup kit I’ve had for a while… so, zombies seemed like a fun idea.. and different from what I shoot. I really enjoyed myself and shooting just for fun. I took my friends Kirsten and Emily and they were great zombies. Here are a few pictures.. hope you like blood. :)

Lately..

It’s 2012! Because I use Facebook primarily for updating my photography and communicating with clients, I hardly use this blog. This year that will change. I’ve been checking out other photographer’s/artist’s/DIY blogs and I really enjoy it…. so I’m hoping people will do the same with mine.. if I keep it interesting of course. So, here is a quick recap of what I’ve left out since June of last year (haha I’m so behind)

Lots of Baby Pictures!! Kids are so fun to photograph. And some engagement sessions… You can check out the rest on my facebook business page

i’m bad about blogging.

Please forgive me. I always forget to update this blog. I decided to google my name today and all my old blogs showed up. I then tried to delete them, but i have forgotten my old passwords. So there are all these old entries and terrible photos floating around on the internet with my name on it! AHH.. thankfully my photography has significantly improved, or so everyone tells me haha.

I have a photoshoot tomorrow with a dear old friend of mine and her little girl. I’m pretty excited. Children are so fun to shoot (with a camera) because you never know what you’re gonna get! They  have the best expressions. I will def post some photos of her soon. To hold you over, i’ll post some I did the other day in my flower garden!

Senior Portraits Part 2!

I got back with Camil and shot the rest of his senior portraits about a week ago. We found an interesting ally way and had fun shooting. Here are a few images :)

New Year, New Plans.

I am currently concentrating on my new business that I have with my fellow photographer friend Lindsay, named One Heart Photography. We are pretty excited about this year and what is to come. We shoot weddings and engagement sessions together. We have a lot of fun doing it and have produced some awesome images together.

I am still doing my own thing on the side which ranges from portraits of all kinds, to pets, to fine art, and even (my favorite) multimedia work. While I was in school, I took some classes and we got to make some multimedia videos and it was most definetly my favorite class. The videos are a combination of photography, movie clips, music, and even text. I had the pleasure of making one for one of my closest friends, Katie, and the birth of her son. I can’t post that one on here, but I will post another one as an example. I would really like to get back into in and make some more for people. So, if you are interested, please feel free to ask about prices or anything else. My email is Rebekahbphotography@gmail.com. Thanks for following!

Sneak Peek: Jennifer and Jeremy

Lindsay and I had the pleasure of photographing Jennifer and Jeremy’s engagement photos. They were such a great couple to be around and we had so much fun. We shot them at an abandoned plantation home which was simply amazing. Here are a few shots!

Sneak Peek: Camil’s Senior Photos

I shot my first Senior Photos yesterday with a friend Camil. We did a lot of soccer shots, mostly him in action. Here are a couple. :)

If you are interested in doing some senior portraits, or any kind for that matter, let me know!

DONE

Hello everyone!

as you can see it’s been almost a month since I’ve posted anything. It has been a very busy month of me trying to finish my photography program. I AM FINALLY DONE!!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAY! What a great two years it has been. I have learned so much and met so many fun and talented people. I am now ready to start my own business and go out and photograph to my best ability.

My portfolio show is September 11th, which I am very excited for. I will be hanging 4 large prints, (hopefully they are my best 4). I really just can’t believe that I am finished with school. It’s been a long time coming. I have a few weddings to shoot with my future business partner, Lindsay, and a few engagement sessions as well. I am very excited about those and about getting my name out there in the world. I hope to support myself with my photography in the future. Let’s hope that dream stays alive. I don’t want to be a starving artist. haha

I recently went to Kentucky with Lindsay for her wedding shower. We had a photo adventure day and shot some corn fields and random things. Here are a few photos. :)
